Copyright Protection is 'KEY' in Summit!
The company conducts stringent internal controls against copyright infringement. Such controls include:
- Obtaining Letter of Indemnity & Letter of Authorisation for all incoming orders from customer;
- Verifying all incoming orders though internal scanning process & external verification with IP bodies;
- Imprinting Source Identification Code (SID Code);
- Exercising stringent controls for all masters, stampers, discs & raw materials used for production or the production process. All over-run & discs that fail quality control are scrapped and accounted for. Such systems form a part of the company's internal and external auditing procedures;
- Proper monitoring of transactions at every stage such as documentation, auditing and good filing system.
Our success rest on our firm belief in the protection of intellectual property rights and in October 2002, we are awarded with the International Recording Media Association (IRMA) Anti-Piracy Certification for our Singapore operations. The first plant to be certified in S.E. Asia and the third in Asia.
The IRMA Anti-Piracy Compliance Program is recognised as the industry's only certification program that helps manufacturers of prerecorded media reduce the risk of publishing pirated material thereby protecting the intellectual property rights of customers. The program has received global industry recognition, with support shown from companies and organization in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. The program's standards and procedures were developed with assistance and input from the IRMA Anti-Piracy Coalition, comprised of optical media replicators, and Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the Motion Picture Association (MPA), the Business Software Alliance (BSA), the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA), the Interactive Digital Software Association (IDSA) and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
